(a) What are the details of the CCTV cameras and/or other safety technology that has been installed in each of the crime hotspots in the province that are in the top 30 murder precincts nationally in (i) 2014/15, (ii) 2015/16, (iii) 2016/17, (iv) 2017/18, (v) 2018/19, (vi) 2019/20 and (vii) 2020/21, (b) how many of these are in good working condition and (c) what is the total breakdown of the expenditure per year?
Answer Body:
(a) (i) till (vii) The CCTV cameras was installed and funded by the City of Cape Town (CoCT) Strategic Surveillance Unit. The information must be obtained from the CoCT through the Minister of Local Government.
