With reference to the reply to question 3 of 9 July 2021:
(1) Whether there are payment plans in place that have been made with these municipalities; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;
(2) whether previous payment plans have been adhered to; if not, what are the relevant details; if so, what are the relevant details?
(1) Yes. Payment plans between Eskom and the following municipalities, i.e. Beaufort West, Cederberg, Kannaland and Matzikama municipalities have been developed and terms agreed to and are in the process of being signed.
(2) Previous payment plans between Eskom and the following four municipalities, i.e. Beaufort West, Cederberg, Kannaland and Matzikama municipalities have not been adhered to due to unrealistic and unaffordable payment terms. For this reason, new payment plans have been developed.
