With reference to the reply to question 5 of 1 October 2021:
- (a) What proportion of the 20 306 rape kits in the province are for (i) adults and (ii) child victims, (b) what procedures are in place to prevent stations running out of kits and (c) which stations, if any, ran out of kits in the 2020/21 financial year;
- with reference to answer (e), (a) who conducts the needs assessments, (b) who is responsible for approving the needs assessments and (c) how often are needs assess-ments conducted,
- whether any of these assessments have not been approved in the 2020/21 financial year; if so, (a) why and (b) how many were not approved?

(b) Kits are redistributed on instruction from Provincial Head: Supply Chain Management to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained at all stations within the Province.
(c) None
(2) (a) Provincial Supply Chain Management conducts a needs assessment in conjunction with stations.
(b) The Provincial Commissioner and/or his delegate approves the needs.
(c) Needs assessments are done annually.
