- whether any new areas have been added since the tabling of the Western Cape Recovery Plan; if so, (a) why and (b) what are the relevant details;
- (a) until when will medication be delivered and (b) what were the costs incurred for this programme from its start to date?
1. Yes, we have continued to support the service. It was much easier during hard lockdown to deliver at home as people were staying at homes. Since the lift in lock down levels more people have gone back to work and have become mobile and chose not to have medication delivered at home. We have provided people with more options to access medication. Home delivery is one mechanism, alternatively people can come and pick up at health facilities, alternative sites in the community or at dedicated e-lockers.
- For home delivery: Older population, people with disabilities, frail and need of care and not able to leave the house due to medical condition in all geographical areas where there is a footprint of community health workers.
- As per responses to questions 1 and 2.
- The service will continue; a study was done to determine the cost to the department found expenditure to be R54 per delivery on average.
