The Adjusted Estimates of Provincial Revenue and Expenditure, 2021, refer to revenue received from “the sale of underutilised land at the Woodstock Hospital …”:
- Whether the land referred to is the land on which the Woodstock Hospital and the related buildings are built; if so, what are the relevant details;
- whether the sale includes the Woodstock Hospital and the related buildings; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;
- whether it was sold to the City of Cape Town in accordance with the Cabinet’s decision; if not, what are the relevant details; if so, what are the relevant details;
- whether the land referred to is adjacent to the Woodstock Hospital; if so, what are the details of this land;
- whether this land referred to in (4) was sold to the City of Cape Town; if not, what are the details of the person to whom it was sold; if so, (a) what are the relevant details, (b) for what purpose was the land sold, (c) what was the sale price and (d) when did the transfer occur?
- The land referred to is the land on which the Woodstock Hospital and the related buildings are built. The land comprises Erven 13130, 13131, 13132, 13133, 13134, 13135, 13138, 13139, 13140, 13143, 13144, 13146, Cape Town.
- The properties referred to above include the Woodstock Hospital and the related buildings.
- The Woodstock Hospital was sold to the City of Cape Town in accordance with Cabinet’s decision.
- The land referred to in question 1 is the Woodstock Hospital and related buildings, as indicated in (1) above.
- The Woodstock Hospital was sold to the City of Cape Town:
- The Western Cape Provincial Cabinet approved the sale of the Woodstock Hospital Complex
- The land was sold for Social Housing.
- Sale price: R 5,100,000.00 (Five Million One Hundred Thousand Rand)
- The transfer of the property into the name of the City of Cape Town was registered on 9 September 2020.
