Question Body:

Whether it has been bought to her attention that a number of employees in her Department, particularly at the youth development centres, have not been paid for overtime worked in November; if so, (a) what are the relevant details and (b) what is the number of employees who have not been paid?

Answer Body:

The response below is to both questions (a) and (b)

The Corporate Services Centre (CSC) at the Department of the Premier is responsible for the processing, capturing and payment of all overtime allowances on behalf of the Department of Social Development.

The number of officials who worked overtime up until the end November 2021 who have not yet received payments for the overtime is 5 (five) due to reconciliation of hours worked against legislated overtime caps and tax calculations. The affected employees have received their payment notifications and will be paid by 7 March 2022.
