- The Conradie project is implemented in partnership with the Department of Transport and Public Works as the lead Department. The two Departments are jointly working on a pipeline of projects to be implemented following on the same principles as the Conradie project.
The following projects have been initiated within the Cape Town CBD
- Founders Garden Artscape Precinct
- Leeuloop Precinct Development
- Planning of the two projects has commenced. However, work has been halted, as the Department is currently awaiting feedback from the National Department of Human Settlements on the approval of revised social housing standards, which will have an impact on the targeted quantum of Social Housing opportunities. The department is not able to confirm the timelines as this is dependent on the approval of the revised social housing norms and standards.
