(a) What is the cost of providing social services, counselling, rehabilitation and child care for the victims of alcohol abuse across the province, (b) what is the cost to her Department to maintain treatment centres for alcohol dependency, child-care services, rape counselling and other alcohol-related social ills and (c) what are the details of these costs to her Department in (i) 2017, (ii) 2018, (iii) 2019, (iv) 2020 and (v) 2021?

Reply:
(a) Since substance abuse is one of the contributing factors to in the above service delivery areas, it is not separately calculated. The Department has provided an Annexure related to this Question 3 a), b) and c) with a financial analysis of total cost of all these service delivery areas.
- (b) what is the cost to her Department to maintain treatment centres for alcohol dependency, child-care services, rape counselling and other alcohol-related social ills and (c) what are the details of these costs to her Department in (i) 2017, (ii) 2018, (iii) 2019, (iv) 2020 and (v) 2021?
