Answer Body:
  1. [a]       One member of the executive occupies a provincially owned residence.

[b]       The Premier is the member of the executive who occupies a provincially owned residence.

[c]        The Premier’s official residence, i.e. Leeuwenhof, is situated in Hof Street, Gardens, Cape Town.

[d]       Leeuwenhof Estate has a value, as per the latest municipal valuation, of R177 400 000.

[e]        No rental is received by the Custodian Department in respect of the portions of Leeuwenhof Estate which are currently occupied by the Premier and his family.

[f][i]      The question should be put to the Department of The Premier, which is responsible for this service.

[f][ii]     Given the size and extent of the Leeuwenhof Estate and its extensive use for diplomatic and/or other government functions from time to time, the Department does not outsource the garden services necessary to maintain the said Estate and the personnel form part of the full-time staff appointed on the staff establishment of the Department.

  1. [a]       Ten members of the executive occupy private residences.

[b]       An amount of R49 018 has, since 2019, been expended on the installation of CCTV at the private residence of one member of the executive.
