With regard to the Deferred Ownership Project:
1. (a) When will construction begin for the project in the Cape Agulhas Municipality and (b) how many Finance-linked Individual Subsidy Programme (FLISP) units will be developed;
2. whether beneficiaries have been identified for the project; if so, what are the relevant details?
1[a] The construction of the project in Cape Agulhas will start in the first quarter of the 2022/2023 financial year.
[b]The project will consist of 106 units for the FLISP market.
[2] In order to ensure openness and transparency in allocation, units will be advertised in the open market. Interested parties will be encouraged to apply to purchase a unit.
In December 2020 a total of 275 potential beneficiaries were screened. The household incomes at the time of the survey is shown in the table below:-
