What are the (a) details and (b) timeline for the filling of the vacancy left by the retirement of the previous head of the Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning?
Answer Body:
The post of Head of Department: Environmental Affairs and Development Planning was advertised on the Western Cape Government website, in the print media, SMS Vacancy Bulletin 14 of 2021 with a closing date of 13 December 2021. Shortlisting was finalised on 03 March 2022, followed by interviews held on 15 March 2022. All processes to approve the nomination is in progress and It is anticipated that the vacancy will be filled by 01 April 2022.
