(1) (a) How many meetings of the provincial Aids Council did she attend and (b) what are the reasons thereof;
(2) whether her department has appointed district Aids councils in the province; if not, why not; if so, (a) what are the relevant details and (b) what are the details of the (i) districts where these councils have been appointed, (ii) appointed persons per districts and (iii) officials that appointed each district council?
1. Minister Nomafrench Mbombo attended all meetings of the Provincial Council on AIDS and TB in 2021. These meetings took place on the following dates:
- 25 February 2022
- 25 June 2021
- 13 August 2021
- 12 November 2021
As per the resolution of the Provincial Council on AIDS and TB meeting held on 12 November 2021, the functions of District Councils on AIDS and TB will be integrated into the existing District Health Councils. Please see attached presentation for details.
