With reference to his reply to question 15 of 9 July 2021:
(1) Whether a copy of the Western Cape Growth Strategy can be made available;
(2) whether the review referred to in the reply has been completed; if not, why not; if so, (i) what are the relevant details and (ii) can a copy of the “Township Economic Growth Strategy” and report of the review be made available?
1. Whether a copy of the Western Cape Growth Strategy can be made available
The Department is in the first phase of developing the Western Cape Economic Growth Strategy. It is anticipated that the Economic Growth Strategy will be completed in the 2022/23 financial year.
2. Whether the review referred to in the reply has been completed; if not, why not; if so, (i] what are the relevant details and (ii] can a copy of the “Township Economic Growth Strategy” and report of the review be made available?
i. The review is in progress since we have been working on a Township Economic Growth Strategy which will be reviewed as part of a larger Western Cape Economic Growth Strategy.
ii. A copy of the Township Economic Growth Strategy and report cannot be made available at this stage.
