How many reservists of the South African Police Service (SAPS) have been (a) (i) recruited and (ii) re-recruited in the 2016/17 financial year and (b) were active and called up for duty with pay in the (i) 2013/14, (ii) 2014/15 and (iii) 2015/16 financial years?
2. The South African Police Service informed me as follows:
(a) (i) 2016/17 = 491 Applicants (training pending)

(ii) 2014/15 = 1300 Active reservists – 957 called up against payment
(iii) 2015/16 = 1050 Active reservists – 893 called up against payment
