How many vacancies are there at the (a) (i) Conville, (ii) George, (iii) Knysna, (iv)  

    Pacaltsdorp, (v) Thembalethu and (vi) Uniondale police stations and (b) (i) how

    long have these vacancies been open and (ii) when will it be filled?

 

Answer Body: 

The South African Police Services informed me as follows:

          (a)(i)  Conville                   [-12] vacancies

              (ii)  George                   [0] vacancies

   (iii)  Knysna                   [-12] vacancies

   (iv) Pacaltsdorp           [-5] vacancies          

    (v)  Thembalethu         [-10] vacancies

    (vi)  Uniondale              [-16] vacancies

(b)(i) The aspect relating to the management of human capital makes any                 organization dynamic and in a state of constant flux. In addressing natural attrition, vacancies are constantly prioritized according to organizational needs.

(ii) Vacancies are addressed through normal human resource processes such                 as transfers, promotion, appointments as well as the allocation of entry                 level Public Service Act and entry level Police Act personnel per annum.                 Allocations have been made to the respective police stations to recruit                 Police Act members for the 2014/2014 financial year.
