Whether there are any outstanding amounts due by municipalities in the province to Eskom for the supply of electricity; if so, (a) what are the relevant details and (b) which party governs the municipality?
3. The municipalities shown in the table below experienced challenges settling outstanding arrears with regards to electricity during the current financial year. A distinction should however be made between current debt and arrears. In the case of Kannaland and Cederberg, an Acknowledgement of Debt and Repayment Plan was entered into with Eskom. The status for the period ending March 2015 however showed a significant improvement:
