Whether his Department supports child-headed households; if not, why not; if so, what is the (a) number of child beneficiaries for the period 2009-2014, (b) legal framework involved with these beneficiaries, (c) nature of support provided and (d) process followed? 

Answer Body: 

In order to qualify for housing assistance, the beneficiary has to meet certain criteria. One of the main criteria is that the beneficiary must be legally competent to contract i.e. over 18 years of age and of sound mind.

At this stage, minor children may only be assisted by way of the appointment of a legal guardian.
