- [a] Yes, the Mossel Bay area is served by our satellite office in Mossel Bay.
[b] The Department provides extenstion and advisory services to farmers in the area, across the spectrum, i.e. subsistence, smallholder and commercial farmers are supported with advice. Furthermore, we also render veterinary services to farmers in this community through our Animal Health Technicians.
[c] Our office is located at the Mossel Bay Thusong Centre, Adriaans Avenue Kwanonqaba, Mossel Bay.
[d] Mr Daniel Badenhorst is the Senior Agricultural Advisor [Head of Office] at this Office, reporting to our District Office which is located at the Outeniqua Research Farm.

[f] It must be noted that there are 5 staff members in this office from two different programmes of the Department, i.e. Farmer Support and Development and the Veterinary Services. Therefore, the budget for managing this office is R 380 000-00 shared between the two Programmes of the Department.
[g] There are 5 staff members in this offices, i.e. 3 Agricultural Advisors and an Administrative Assistant from the Farmer Support and Development Programme and an Animal Health Technician from the Veterinary Services.
- [a] At the moment, the only vacancy that exists is that of District Manager at the District Office.
[b] Mr Willem Burger is currently acting in this position.
[c] The position of the District Manager is in a process of being filled. Interviews were already conducted and it should be filled before the end of October 2014.
