  1. What are the names of all (a) non-governmental organisations and (b) community based organizations (non-state) in the province that have received Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) funding for the period 1 May 2009 until 1 December 2014, (c) for each organisation include, (i) the amount of funding received and (ii) the number of employment opportunities provided with the funding;

 

Answer Body: 

The Non-Governmental Organisations and Community Based Organisations (Non-State) in the province are managed by the National Department of Public Works.  The above mentioned question was referred to the Chief Director responsible for the programme to respond.

 

 

  1. what is the detailed breakdown of the financial allocations made to all (a) provincial government departments, (b) local municipalities for EPWP project in (i) 2009/10, (ii) 2010/2011, (iii) 2011/12, (iv) 2012/13, (v) 2013/14 and (vi) 2014/15 financial year, (c) for each financial year what are the employment opportunities created by provincial government department and local municipalities?

 

Reply:

The Department of Transport and Public Works is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the Expanded Public Works Program in the province.  In response to the above mentioned questions, see the following attachments:
