Which projects are benefitting from the R195 million for infrastructure development and projects in the Hessequa Municipality as announced by him at the NCOP Taking Parliament to the People, recently held in Oudtshoorn?

Answer Body: 

There are a number of projects over the 2015 MTEF benefitting from the R195 million investment directed towards infrastructure development in the Hessequa Municipality, which deal with both the transport and education sectors. This amount  excludes investments made by Human Settlement, CapeNature and  Health over the same period, which if included increases the total investment in  the Hessequa Municipality to R221 million over the 2015 MTEF.

 The projects over the 2015 MTEF are as follows:

Education:                  Panorama Primary School                                                                  R28 million

Transport:                   C958.1 Riversdale Albertinia (bridge)                       R500 000

Transport:                   C989 N2 – Stilbaai (surfaced road)                            R130 million

Transport:                   C989 N2 - Stilbaai PRMG (surfaced road)                R10 million

Transport:                   C1052.3 Heidelberg area PRMG (bridge)                 R14 million

Transport:                   C1054.4 Gourits bridge                                              R13 million

Human Settlement:     Kwanotuthula Extension (42 services)                      R42 000

Human Settlement:     Melkhoutfontein North (170 units)                            R6 million
