(2) whether any vacancies existed at any of the offices by the latest date mentioned on which information was available, if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, (a) what is the number of vacancies, (b) at which offices are the vacancies and (c) when are the vacancies expected to be filled;
(3) whether he intends to constrict, terminate or expand any services at the said offices; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, (a) what will the extent of the (i) constriction, (ii) termination or (iii) expansion be and (b) what are the relevant details in this regard?

2. We have no vacancies at the moment and from the districts side we would like to maintain this status quo. The Mossel Bay Primary Health Care facilities and hospital are under pressure for the clinical services. There is no plan to decrease the number of staff or posts at this point in time on the approved APL.
3. No expansion planned. Mossel Bay District Hospital renders the full package of care for a district hospital. In addition there is a specialist outreach from George Hospital for Orthopaedics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Medicine and Ophthalmology. There is a local sessional Surgeon also. The new ASLA clinic is also in the planning phase.
