What early (a) intervention and (b) treatment services does his Department provide for substance abuse in the Bitou Municipal area?
Answer Body:
The Department funds one early intervention and aftercare program in the Bitou municipal area. The Departmental own services render early intervention services whereby the social workers provide screening, assessment, brief motivational interviewing, early recovery skills and presenting the client with treatment options. Family intervention is also part of the process.
There are currently four private registered treatment centres in the Bitou municipal area.
