(1) (a) What was the order of the Constitutional Court in the court case between himself and the Habitat Council and others, (b) what is his interpretation thereof and (c) how will the court order be executed, especially with regard to appeals in terms of Section 44 of the Land Use Planning Ordinance;

(2) (a) what are the cut-off dates; (b) what were the costs to his department, (c) which officials attended the ruling of the court and (d) at what cost?

Answer Body: 

[1]   [a] – [c] and [2] [a] The order of the Constitutional Court, the interpretation thereof and the implementation thereof is contained in the attached, Circular EADP 0011/2014.

       [2] [b] The legal cost of this matter was R 869 138.45

       [2] [c] No officials attended the judgement ruling hand-down by the court.

      [2][d] There was no cost to the Department as no officials attended the judgement ruling hand-down by the court.
