- Why the special issues of Better Together were compiled and distributed, (b) how many copies were printed, (c) (i) by whom was it printed and (ii) at what cost and (d) (i) by whom and (ii) where was it distributed?
Answer Body:
(a)
- The Nelson Mandela Memorial Edition was published in March 2014 to commemorate the passing of the former president.
- The Cabinet edition which was published at the beginning of 2015 was to introduce Cabinet and WCG HODs to staff.
- The World Design Capital edition was published at the beginning of 2015 to showcase the contribution of the Western Cape to making Cape Town the World Design Capital 2014.
(b)
- For the Nelson Mandela Memorial Edition (published in March 2014), 20 000 copies were printed.
- For the Cabinet edition (published beginning of 2015), 27 000 copies were printed.
- For the World Design Capital edition (published beginning of 2015), 27 000 copies were printed.
(c) (i)
- The Nelson Mandela Memorial Edition (published in March 2014) was printed by Tandym Print (Pty) Ltd.
- The Cabinet edition (published beginning of 2015) was printed by Lexlines Press (Pty) Ltd.
- The World Design Capital edition (published beginning of 2015) was printed by Capitil Press.

- The Nelson Mandela Memorial Edition (published in March 2014) was at a cost of R265 150,00.
- The Cabinet edition (published beginning of 2015) was at a cost of R431 883.30.
- The World Design Capital edition (published beginning of 2015) was at a cost of R154 458.25.
*Cost incurred for posting to schools were R14 355,00 which included posting at one time of the BT Magazine Issue 16, Cabinet edition and WDC2014 edition.
