How many (a) neighbourhood-watch trainers has his Department employed, (b) neighbourhood-watch training sessions has his Department hosted in (i) 2017/18 and (ii) 2018 to date and (c) neighbourhood-watch members has his Department hosted in (i) 2017/18 and (ii) 2018 to date?
12. (a) The Department of Community Safety does not employ full-time neighbourhood-watch trainers, the training is outsourced and service providers are procured on a quarterly basis.
(b) (i) The Department held ninety-three training sessions as follows:
- 35 Basic Neighbourhood Watch Training Sessions;
- 37 First Aid Training Sessions, and
- 21 Basic Fire Fighting Sessions.
(ii) The Department of Community Safety held thirteen (13) Basic Neighbourhood Watch training sessions.
(c) (i) The Department hosted four (quarterly) engagements during 2017/18
and 548 Neighbourhood Watch members attended.
(ii) The Department hosted two (quarterly) engagements during 2018/19
and 212 Neighbourhood Watch members attended.
