- (1) (a) 74
(b) The school social workers are employed across the 8 education district offices rendering a service in all schools.
(2) Yes, the strengthening of support services to learners, with a particular focus on the deep rural areas, is under consideration.
In addition to support by social workers, 129 Care and Support Assistants, funded by the national HIV & TB Conditional Grant, are being employed to supplement the services of the social workers providing a first level of support at selected schools.
