- How much progress has been made with the investigation of the 14 South African Police Service officers who were suspended for possession of stolen weapons at Mitchells Plain Police Station, and (b) when will the investigation be concluded?
Answer Body:
The South African Police Service informed me as follows:
(a) No members from Mitchell’s Plain were suspended for the possession of stolen weapons but were suspended for failure to comply with organisational directives related to safeguarding of firearms.
(b) Investigations have been finalised and the members are on trial.
