Whether he and his Department have programmes in place in 2018 to assist the elderly in keeping them healthy; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?
Answer Body:
The Department funds 198 community based service centres across the province to the
amount of R31 642 435. These service centres render services that is inclusive of meals,
active and healthy living and cultural activities. In addition, the Department of Sport
and Culture and Local Authorities provide active aging activities for the elderly.
