With regard to youth programmes funded by her Department:
How much has been spent on programmes targeted at young people in the last financial year and (b) what programmes has this amount funded?
The budget of the department has a bias towards young people. The portion of the budget that target young people is inexplicably intertwined between the various programmes and can as a result not be reported on as being young people specific i.e., funds transferred to 138 Sport Federations and although most of it was spent of young people not all of it was spent on young people. The same principle applies to the NGO sector for culture related organisations, library material, major events etc. Notwithstanding this there are various programmes of the department with a dedicated focus on youth as indicated below:
