(a) What factors inform the plan to close down the Kleinfontein Primary School and (b) what process has been followed?
Answer Body:
The formal process has not yet started.
Any process and decision will be informed by the following Department of Basic Education documents:
- Standard Parameters for Closure and Merger of Micro Public Schools, dated 25 March 2017.
- Guidelines for Rationalisation and Realignment of Public Schools – A Holistic Approach, dated 7 December 2017.
- Regulations Relating to Minimum Uniform Norms and Standards for Public School Infrastructure, published in Government Gazette No. 37081 of 29 November 2013.
