[1] How many vacancies are there in the total staff establishment of the police stations at (a) Manenberg, (b) Lavender Hill, (c) Elsies River, (d) Hanover Park and (e) Lentegeur;
[2] whether there are any plans to fill these vacancies at the police stations in (1); if not, why not; if so, what are the timelines?
The South African Police Services informed me as follows:
(1)(a) 37
(b) 15
(c) 17
(d) 8
(e) 20
(2) New additional entry level posts have been allocated to the stations and posts were advertised for promotions purposes which is currently pending. The filing of other vacancies will be addressed through the normal existing HR processes as guided by the Medium Term Expenditure Framework.
