- Whether there are any serviced sites available in Philippi; if so, how many people can be accommodated; if not;
- whether there are any available plans for qualifying and deserving people to relocate anywhere else in the province?
Answer Body:
. (1) There are no serviced sites available in Philippi. The current serviced
sites in the area has already been allocated and occupied by the registered owners. These property owners could be assisted via the consolidation programme via an infill project.
(2) The City of Cape Town’s allocation policy does make provision to
accommodate persons outside the immediate source area and thus
persons from the Philippi area may be assisted in other areas within
the Metro if they so qualify.
