What is the estimated amount lost by the sporting and cultural sectors as a result of load-shedding over the last five financial years?
Answer Body:
Because the economic impact of load-shedding over the last five financial years is not linear the effect thereof is difficult to measure in Rands and cents. Both the sporting and cultural industries functions on a regulated and non-regulated and formal and informal basis which makes it difficult to accurately calculate. What is known is that the cost is enormous.
