Whether his Department has allocated any funding for the Upgrading of Informal Settlements Programme (UISP) in the Langeberg Municipality for the 2016/17 financial year; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?
Answer Body:
Yes, an amount of R43, 4 million was allocated to the Langeberg Municipality for the 2016/17 financial year of which R7, 5 million was allocated to the Robertson: Enkanini project for the servicing of 150 sites via the Upgrading of Informal Settlement Programme.
An application for the approval of the project is expected from the Municipality during October 2016. Implementation of the project is expected in January 2017.
