  1.

2. Number of PAY interns living with disabilities

No applications were received from persons living with disabilities

  1.

3. Number of PAY interns who took part in the programme in the 2021/22 financial year who have been successful in applying for employment in WCG departments

NOTE:

Public Service Regulations do not provide for absorption into positions.  Interns apply for vacant positions, go through a selection process and get appointed in employment opportunities after completion of the Programme.

Appointment numbers of interns are low, mainly because of limited funded vacancies in Public Service.

The main purpose of the PAY programme is to develop skills of youth in terms of preparing them for either employment, further studies or self-employment opportunities, including small and informal business opportunities.
