5 (1) DANIDA
i) Donor funds (DANIDA) was received from the Danish Government.
ii) To provide solar water heaters on the N2 Gateway projects.
iii) The heaters were installed on the rooftops of the houses concerned.
iv) The amount spent over the past 3 years are as follows:
2014/15 - R 2 354 million
2015/16 - R 1 838 million
2016/17 - R 1 125 million
v) Beneficiaries provided with access and availability of hot water for domestic
purposes.
5 (2) Monthly meetings were held with the donor and progress reports submitted to
them annually.
5 (1) GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) ENHANCEMENT
- Aid assistance was received from the Department of Public Service and
Administration (DPSA).
ii) To support the GPS Enhancement to the Western Cape Housing Demand
Database Project
iii) To build the capacity of the South African Public Service for improved delivery,
to facilitate and support research for the development and piloting of new
ways of delivering public frontline services.
iv) The amount spent over the past 3 years is as follows:
2014/15 - Nil
2015/16 - R 148 000,00
2016/17 - R 52 000,00
v) People living in informal settlements, normally without formal addresses who
qualify for a housing opportunity, can now be spatially traced. Determination
of the Global positioning for purposes of planning housing infrastructure was
expedited and enhanced.
The socio-economic report assists the municipality to improve its planning in
the surveyed informal settlements.
5 (2) Quarterly monitoring reports submitted to DPSA including a close out report
at the end of the project. Progress meetings and workshops were also held
with all role players.
