Whether there have been any (a) police officials, (b) specialised units or (c) flying-squad cars and/or (d) personnel stationed at the Milnerton home of a certain person whose name has been furnished to his Department for the purpose of this reply; if so, for each instance, (i) what are the reasons therefor, (ii) how many police personnel have been stationed at this address from 1 May 2017 to date, (iii) from which units and stations have these officials been drawn and (iv) for how long will officials and/or vehicles be placed at this home?
The Deputy National Commissioner Policing informed me as follows:
(a)(i) Flying Squad members were sent to attend a complaint at the residence of the certain person’s house after a house robbery incident. They were not stationed.
(ii) No personnel were stationed at the residence from 1 May 2017 to date.
(iii) Regular patrols are conducted and visits to the residence are done as part of Sector Policing in the area.
(iv) Members were not statically deployed, they conduct patrols as part of day to day policing
