- The province is over achieving on its Retention Care targets and we have successfully achieved and maintained a less than 2% PMTCT transmission rate.
The Department has introduced NIMART programme, ART Adherence clubs and universal Test and Treat. This allows for nurses to initiate patients on regimen 1 treatment at the PHC platform, while stable patients can be decanted into ART clubs in the community.
The transmission rate for WC has always been below 2% for the past three years.
