- Whether any of the response and/or reaction units of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the province has been disbanded or redeployed; if so, what are the relevant details;
- whether he was informed of the motivation for this action; if so, what was the motivation;
- how will this rearrangement be of benefit to service delivery of the SAPS at station level?
Answer Body:
1. The South African Police Service informed me as follows:
(1) No response and/ or reaction units were disbanded. Specific competencies, offered by various (specialized) units, are utilized and operationally deployed on a continuous basis to address specific crime threats.
