How many South African Police Service officers have been deployed in the Eden cluster in the (a) 2014/15, (b) 2015/16 and (c) 2016/17 financial years?

Answer Body: 

The South African Police Service informed me as follows:

 

          Note:     The amalgamation of clusters in the Western Cape- and the subsequent reduction of [25] clusters to [16] was officially implemented on 2015-07-01. The figures quoted here thus reflect the total (operational) staffing levels for 2015-07-01; 2016-07-01 and 2017-07-01, respectively, for the Eden Cluster.

         

          (a)         Previous George Cluster                 -           797

                        Previous Oudtshoorn                        -           381

                                                                                                1178 total operational officials

 

          (b)         1187    -           total operational officials

 

            (c)       1251    -           total operational officials
