Whether his Department and each entity reporting to him appointed transaction advisers for tenders in the period 2014 to date; if so, (a) who were the transaction advisers who were appointed for the tenders, (b) for which tenders were they appointed, (c) what was the pricing of the tenders in question and (d) what amount was paid tothe transaction advisers?

Answer Body: 

Yes, the Department did appoint transaction advisors during August 2015 and September 2016. 

  1. [a] The following transaction advisors were appointed:
    • Ignis Project and Finance Solutions (2015)
    • Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs Inc (2015)
    • KPMG (2016)
    • ARG Design (2016)

[b] The transaction advisors were appointed for the Conradie Better Living Game Changer Project.

[c] Not known yet.  A developer procurement process was initiated and two bidders qualified for the proposal stage of the process for the Conradie Better Living Game Changer.  The proposal stage only closes in September 2017.
