How many South African Police Service (SAPS) reservists have been (a) recruited and (b) re-recruited in (i) the 2015/16, (ii) the 2016/17 and (iii) to date in the 2017/18 financial years?

The South African Police Service informed me as follows:
Recruited
(a)(i) 2015/16 = 0 – No reservists were recruited.
(ii) 2016/17 = 491 Applicants (training pending)
(iii) 2017/18 = 434 Applicants (training pending)
Re-recruited
(b)(i) 2015/16 = 0 – (No Reservists were re recruited)
(ii) 2016/17 = 0 – (No Reservists were re recruited)
(iii) 2017/18 = 0 – (No Reservists were re recruited)
