Whether any reservist training has taken place for applicants in the (a) 2016/17 and (b) 2017/18 financial year; if not, why not; if so, (i) how many applicants have been trained in each year and (ii) on what dates did the training take place?

The South African Police Service informed me as follows:
(a)(i) 2016/17 = 0
(ii) Not Applicable
(b)(i) 2017/18 =181
(ii) 2017-07-19 until 2017-10-20: Basic firearm training and Legal Principals
