Whether the allegations of illegal meddling and nepotism at the Theewaterskloof Municipality where a pervious Deputy Mayor son, whose name has been furnished to his Department for the purpose of his reply, was appointed in a post, has been investigated; if so, what has he done to address it?
Answer Body:
According to Theewaterskloof Municipality, allegations against the Councillor is currently being investigated by the Speaker in terms of Item 13 of the Code of Conduct for Councillors. Such investigations are within the ambits of the Speaker and it is within the jurisdiction of the Council to make a determination based on the findings of the investigation.
