Wesgro, the Western Cape’s official tourism, trade and investment promotion agency, markets the Swellendam and other regions at a range of international tourism platforms.

The Cross Cape cycle route, an initiative of Project Khulisa, to drive tourism to towns across the province, will also travel through Swellendam. The region is already a popular cycling destination, hosting the Coronation Double Century, which delivers a significant economic boost to the town.
