My Department works closely with the City of Cape Town and municipalities to ensure that projects are approved and implemented timeously. Certain important projects are implemented directly by the department.
The department holds regular meetings with all municipalities and contractors to monitor progress and expenditure. By working closely with municipalities and contractors any unforeseen delays are mitigated timeously to ensure that the province meets its overall targets and that all funds received by the province are effectively spent.
