With regard to the poor state of the fencing at the Bhongolethu Primary School and the Fezekile High School in Oudtshoorn:
What are the plans of his Department to replace the vandalised fences at these schools?
Answer Body:
My department has informed me of the following: the two schools are not on our fencing replacement programme that is currently underway. As the member is aware, the Department is currently implementing an aggressive fencing programme.
I do, however, note your comment regarding the poor condition of the fences and have informed my Department. They have indicated that these schools will be considered should the fencing replacement programme be extended.
