(1) How will the management of the Table Mountain National Park benefit from a transfer of the management responsibility to the Western Cape Nature Conservation Board; (2) whether a financial analysis has been done on the potential costs and responsibilities of taking on the management of the Table Mountain National Park; if not, why not; if so, what would the financial and management burdens of such a step be?
- There are currently no plans to transfer the management responsibility of the Table Mountain National Park to the Western Cape Nature Conservation Board as the national task team on the rationalisation of nature conservation in South Africa has seen no progress on this matter despite being established more than two years ago.
- No financial analysis has been done on the potential costs and responsibilities of taking on the management of the Table Mountain National Park because there are no plans to transfer the management responsibility of the Table Mountain National Park to the Western Cape Nature Conservation Board as yet.
