In relation to SAPS station commanders:

  1. What are the criteria used to appoint a station commander, (b) how many station commanders in the Western Cape are due to retire at the end of this financial year and (c)(i) how many station commanders have been moved to other police stations in (aa) 2018/19, (bb) 2019/20, (cc) 2020/21, (dd) 2021/22 and (ee) 2022/23 to date and (ii) what are the relevant details and reasons?

8.      (a)   The criteria utilised to appoint station commanders are due to service terminations, resignations, retirement, promotions, transfers, and new posts in terms of the Fixed Establishment.
