The main purpose of the PAY programme is to develop skills of youth in terms of preparing them for either employment, further studies or self-employment opportunities, including small and informal business opportunities.

No, the WCG does not have a tracking system that tracks the interns after they leave the system. The WCG is in the process of exploring a tracking system to track PAY interns post the completion of the programme.
- Which skills have the participants been equipped with during the programme
PAY interns have been equipped with the following skills during the programme:
- Work Readiness Training;
- Compulsory Skills Training focused on career guidance, resilience, and an introduction to project management;
- Digital Literacy training structured to provide computer literacy, focusing on the Microsoft Office package,
- Employee Health and Wellness training interventions offer guidance on personal and emotional support and development, and
- Departmental Specific training such as:
- BAS Training
- LOGIS Training
- PERSAL Training
- Fraud Awareness
- Sexual Harassment
- Diversity Management
- whether there is general feedback from the graduates of the programme; if so, what are the relevant details?
Yes, PAY Interns have responded, amongst others, that:
- The PAY Programme provided workplace experience that improved the market ability of participant;
- excellent training and development opportunities to equip participants for the future, and
- the Pay Programme helped participants to decide how and in what fields to further their studies.
